All of this just makes it more evident that each state's CCW licenses should be treated just like drivers license. All states MUST honor each other.

12 are either constitutional carry or accept everyone but VT residents, and are therefore safe for VA CHP holders: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota and Tennessee

I really hope to keep the ones in bold.

States that I think are at possible risk of losing recognition of the VA CHP are: Florida, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wyoming (who is constitutional but only for residents)

Hope to keep these as well.

That makes 8 or 9 potential states that VA CHP holders could lose the right to carry in if those states react to this move by Herring.

I disagree with others that claim that this is a "money grab." I know VSP testified as much last year, but there is no doubt in my mind that this is politically motivated and is just representative of McAwful looking to take some additional action (any action) against law abiding gun owners. Hopefully other states realize this is just short-term pandering by a carpetbagging douchebag.

As I stated before, this is a money grab. If you want to carry in VA, you gotta get a nonresident permit.

...and the VSP Non-Resident Permitting office is already backlogged with trying to get permits out. My application from earlier this year took just under 100 days. With no time limitations for non-residents, things are about to get worse.

NRA didn't/doesn't do SH1T for MD.

What makes you think they're going to do more/different in VA.

They are all about making a buck. They'll do and say whatever it takes to make money. Likewise, IMO, they'll take whatever path they can to save money.

Remind you of anyone else...? Say our politicians...all of our politicians.

    I am not a fan.

Chipping away at Liberty is a great strategy right up until it isn't.

    SMH...

You do know that the NRA is funding the lion's share of our lawsuit against the MD assault weapons ban, right?

That their support was instrumental in preventing us MD gun owners from becoming felons?

That their support in the recent Va elections helped maintain a pro-gun majority in the legislature there?
