Someone recently poo-poo'd this as being too well-known in crime circles, but it wasn't even on my radar (or the radar of any of the gun guys I know) until I happened upon this video by accident. Since I was looking for a soft-case carry option for the MP5 at the time, I was intrigued enough to order one. Anyway, it just arrived and, within a few minutes, the sheer brilliance of the design became obvious. So much so that this thing's now my default MP5 range carry case. And for anyone with a CCW that needs/wants a discreet way to carry a sidearm & SBR, this is well worth your consideration.

Here's the video that sold me (and it works as advertised with the MP5 and a 92F/M9):

I just bought one of these on Black Friday. Nice quality bag,but a little bigger than I thought. My Scorpion fits very nice in it.

    Thats an assault bag...

When worn, it looks like a common backpack. Actually, the sidearm pocket on the front (which can be removed) actually makes it look decidedly geeky. Had I not seen the video (or had one sitting here in front of me), I'd've never suspected anyone carrying anything but school books in it.

At first glance, I didn't like the contrasting tan pouch for the pistol. However, once he explained that the contrast was to break up and disguise the large size of the pistol pouch, it makes sense.

    - Now, the Select Carry (Code Red/Steel Grey [475]) is on sale for $72.99.
    - Charcoal is $129.99
    - True Navy/Asphalt (726) os $129.99

Right now, 5.11 is offering free 2-day shipping on orders over $75. Or, Free Ground Shipping on all orders.

The feature that turns this nice carrier into a "killer app" are the quick-open straps (configurable for left-or right-hand access) in each of the two main compartments that allow you to literally tear the covers open in a second for instant-access. V-e-r-y cool!

Red doesn't seem discreet, but lots of gym bags and book bags are red. So depending on what else you're wearing, it might be fine.

What else can be carried in this? You know, like something someone would actually use while going out in public to a coffee shop/library, etc...? Carry a separate daypack for things? :)

It's got additional pockets/space for phones, tablets, etc.

But....but.... carrying a gun off body is "stupid and dangerous". Where did that thread go?
