I know which BCG that is. They're nice.

I thought about waiting for the one they've been advertising, but those are still a few weeks out.

Got to fondle the development mule and shoot the shit with the co-founder for a little while, good people.

Speaking of good bcgs., do you, BradMac or anyone else here know of any supplier who sells a decent bcg unassembled? I'd much rather install the gas key my self. Sorry for the derailment here, you guys just got me thinking...

Hm, any concerns of overgassing with that LaRue 18" and mid-length gas?

Gas port is .060", so I wouldn't expect any issues normally.

Seeing as how I'm going adjustable gas (for future suppressor use) this time around, I really doubt there'll be any over-gassing concerns. ;)

I've built and shot plenty of 16" with mid-length gas setups, and they always ran well, no visible signs of over-gassing.

Not all that concerned about overgassing as I measured the gas port at around that size as well: 1/16th drill bit dropped in, next biggest size I had did not (IIRC, 5/64, but I forget). I had recently read some less than optimal words about these barrels and wanted to see what others' experiences were.

I didn't spring for adjustable gas with this barrel, but probably should have given I too will suppress.

If it ends up being a problem child, there'll be no hesitation from me on calling it out.

Minus optic (have a temporary one on it currently), it is done.

I'll post a pic and details tomorrow, time to grab some shut eye.

Test fired, gas system adjusted. Just need to zero the backup scope.
