I'm almost thinking we should do like a little MDS business card with "You lost business today" and the reason why on it, that members could leave at places like this. Just not sure if the asshats like from the other side would get hold of some and use them improperly to make us look bad. I dunno, I haven't even run the idea past anyone else, just thinking out loud.

    Isn't that cute.

I thought MD didn't have any provisions for no carry signage. Most they can do is ask you to leave, correct?

Yes, in MD. Have to be careful in other states though. In Texas I believe it's a felony if they have the correct signage up and you get caught carrying in a place like that.

I think it may have more negatives than positives. It is important that we stop in and let them know. I was right next to that yesterday (and also noticed that the steel door was down at Bart's :sad20:) I would have stopped in. Unfortunately, I have 4 new tires on my car. I will stop the next time by and tell them I was pricing tires out for another car.

I was in there recently pricing tires. Had already decided unless they were going to pretty much give them to me I wouldn't be spending any money there because of the sign.

    Pretty much went like this......

    Need four Goodrich All Terrains

    OK, that will be $.....

    Fell on floor laughing uncontrollably

Picked myself up, started out the door, explaining that I now understood the no gun sign, made thier attempted robbery safer for them.

Tires were over $200 more than nearest competitor, and they were ~ $100 more than I ended up paying.

This^^ Maybe someone should explain to them that the chances of anyone legally allowed to carry a gun in MD will walk into their store is slim unless they are LE. The chances of someone walking in the store with a gun that isn't allowed to have it, is there for other reasons...and they don't care about the sign.

I can think of one business that sold 65% of itself to a TX company and the corporate policy is to post the no CCW signs.
