The last Timonium show, I took 2 of my sons. We walked around for an hour and decided to eat there. Without buying a gun, knife, socks, jerky or anything else, we spent over $70 for admission and lunch.

I'm still up in the air if I'm going to go to the show tomorrow. I know there won't be anything there I want to buy. If I could find 147 gr 9mm hp ammo for a decent price, I'd probably go just for that. But I doubt I'd find that.

So whats the cost of entry these days? It's been several years since I've been to a gun show due to the crowds and prices always seem to be higher than just going to your favorite gun store.

$7 if you print out the $1off coupon from the website.

I glanced at a couple prices on modern shotguns and 10/22s. they were sky HIGH.

One booth I took notice of was selling the PVC & wood slat target stands like are used at AGC. They also had the AR500 steel gong targets in different sizes.

I wanted to buy an old winchester 30-30 but the guy didn't seem interested. I stood at the table for 5 minutes looking at the gun. The guy literally stood directly in front of me.... I tried asking a few questions to him and he made eye contact with me and looked away. Totally ignored me! So after looking at it and being ignored, I walked away.

I saw a nice SKB 28ga, if I didn't just buy a Tenpoint crossbow for xmas, that SKB would have gone home with me!
I did pick up a nice hunting knife and some ammo.

Looked at a older 444 Marlin, but the guy had it marked like it was made of Gold !

I actually didnt think the show was too bad. Plnety of junk and the few vendors that thought there ammo was worth gold but otherwise it was worth the trip. Got to hold a glock 42 and shield back to back so that helped me rule out the glock 42 as a future purchase.

I made it over to the show about 1 on sunday and walked around for the last couple hours with my gf, we both enjoyed it. Neither of us was looking for anything we just went to look around and schmooze a bit. Ended up leaving with a couple pistol cases.

I did get a chance to check the LE trades at SD, the sigs looked good but I'm sticking with 9mm and these were all 40.

I have been thinking about my getting my first revolver lately and have been researching the 686+p. I think it was Blue Fin, had a S&W 686+p Tanto model, I believe with 2 or 3inch barrel with unfluted cylinder. It felt GREAT!!, it was nice to have a chance to fondle it.
I shot a 357 with 2 inch barrel, and it was a bit much so I'm thinking a 4 inch barrel may be the way to go.

But... How many of you noticed the "MDS joke" at the Fox Firearms table?
