No, you have the wrong mindset. That's the way it is, accept it?

Should we feel the same way about Shall Issue in MD?

It's beyond comprehension that it takes upwards of a year to process an "application for tax paid" after they cash the check. If it's the background check holding it up, why does a simple NICS check take all of 2 minutes?

There is absolutely nothing we can do about it right now. My suggestions aren't based on "giving in to gun control", it's based on staying sane during the long wait.

Just called to check. Both are form 4's on individual.
    mailed 7/30
    pending 9/25
    approx approval next june

    mailed 9/13 or so
    pending 10/14
    approx approval next august.

Wow. So almost a year after I purchased the first one and over a year for the second. MSP was 2 months on one and 4 days on the other. Yes I know about trusts and no I don't have one for a reason.

See, I use NFA Tracker, and I get this:
Based on the last 6 months of data in NFATracker 80.77% of people with your examiner have received their stamp by now.
Probability you will receive your stamp by the end of that month:

I guess everything is still skewed from the past in the "wait time predict" using past six months data.

Oh well. Not stressing over it, just irritated about all of the different dates and different info I've been given BY THE NFA BRANCH. All to exercise a god given right to build what I want. But it's neither here nor there.

Bingo, you've discovered why NFA tracker is only really good at 2 things.
    1. Showing trends.
    2. Estimating when you will get your stamp but ONLY in the last couple of weeks of your wait.

NFA tracker's wait estimation times assume a flat line in the wait time. If that trend line isn't flat, the estimation time is mostly useless.

    Definitely not where you are!
My stamp has just arrived for my Osprey 45. Woohoo! Too bad I'm out of the country... grr! The check was cashed in mid February via the normal paper route with an NFA trust. So yeah, about nine months, maybe even a tad longer.

2 stamps back today! :D Both Form 4's, Pending 4/08/13, and approved 12/02/13.

Ours must have been keeping each other company while waiting in the pile. Same pending & approval dates. And guess what, I received mine in the mail today too. Only difference is mine was a Form 1. Funny stuff. :D
