BCGF Fun & Turkey Shoot (Trap) Sunday Dec 8th

Baltimore County Game & Fish will be having a fun shoot (trap) and turkey shoot this Sunday December 8th at Noon till 4pm. Their will also be a cookout.

In addition to the turkey shoot, other games will be played such as Cut Throat, Protection, Annie Oakley, Missing Out, etc... We may even play some interesting formats such as 'Doubles International Wobble Protection'.

Trap

I noticed a new sign out front yesterday as I drove by about public trap on Thursday nights. Is it usually pretty crowded during that time? I was curious as I live within a half mile of this place but have never seen the crowds.. It would be nice to check it out.

Neither over or under crowded. There is not a wait to get on a squad.

The great thing about shooting at BCGF for Thursday night trap is the high level of engagement and willingness of people to help new shooters.

They are closed tonight though.

I'll bite, could you send me some details ... do you know if they would have a rental gun for my wife?

I'll bite, could you send me some details ... do you know if they would have a rental gun for my wife?

They do not have rentals and, if I may read between the lines, this would not be a good event for a first time or beginner trap shooter.

There will probably not be a single round of 16 yard line trap shot nor a regular round of trap for that matter. This is all games similar to how the game of "horse" is to basketball.

My wife has never shot a round of trap and I would definitely not bring her to this for her first time. But I would bring her on a Thursday night and ask the club if I could use one of the trap houses set on straight.
