Is there a fund to donate to for the suit?
I very much like the emphasis on banning entire classes of firearms in common use. However, I expect O'Malley and his henchmen to respond with "public safety trumps individual rights" or something to that effect.
I certainly hope the judge asks fun questions like "Mr. O'Malley, in the Regulated Firearm list, item 11 is 'Bushmaster semi-auto rifle.' I have the website open, and I want to know which one is prohibited? They appear to have many ... And exactly what constitutes a copy?"
I like how the complaint is written. I would be happier if O'Malley wasn't going to be spending more of my tax dollars fighting this to SCOTUS.
I sent money, but didn't see or missed where to say it was for litigation fund. Either way, I know the money is going to a good use.
First off. Awesome! I don't want to derail thread, just have a question... I thought we could still transport our banned firearms.
yeah they have that wrong (more drama I guess...)
no worries (fingers crossed)
There were several things in there I thought odd... but I know they have better research and resources than I do....
I'm running with it.
How can that be proven? A legally incorrect opinion can be appealed. I think the good news is that the fact-finding aspect of the case will be relatively simple. It will mostly be legal argument. Bad factual conclusions cannot be reversed on appeal unless they are really bad. Bad legal conclusions can be reversed on appeal if they're just incorrect.
So what has our NRA dollars gotten us Marylanders? - nothing that I can see. Even after the president of NRA, who lives in Md, said they would file law suit - right!
MSI is where our dollars should go
