Canceled my order tonight after reading this along with the fact that i will be in Croatia the last 2 weeks of sept. shortened my window for an in hand lower....i got an immediate response from the owner followed by this post on facebook via their page:
Just a quick note and I will say this to all of our MARYLAND customers that are coming up for the October 1st ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN, we are going to get you the lowers transferred to you before the deadline. This includes SHDW-15B billet AR-15 lowers. If we think that it will be close, we will send you raw aluminum lowers and later on have you send them back for final coating after they have been registered in your name. If you have a SO-308, it is not being banned because apparently a .308 round is not as dangerous as a .223 round in Maryland. Take care ~ Paul

Can't believe people are still waiting. This has def been going too long. If I hadn't gotten mine already, I would cancel it and go to Engage and get what I needed. Just in case it helps, here's the details on my completed order.

    Order# 504
    Ordered 12/30/12
    Graphic sent 3/8/13
    Received 4/23/13

It is sad and like many upstarts they try to do right by everyone and get in over their head. Throw in the mark fluctuations on material and the machine shops you end up with canceled orders.

On the flip side if you have your receipt would it not qualify as a purchase order and still fall in as a legal even if you receive after 10/1.

You need a serial number....and most FFLs want to be physically hold the item

I got a phone call from them today. Wanted to verify I still wanted to hang in there for a billet lower and they let me know they would probably have to send me one prior to anodizing and then have me ship it back.

All depending on what FFL you are sending it to you should only need a copy of your invoice to prove you bought it prior to Oct. 1. When I was at TGS they told me to have my invoice ready for a stripped lower from spikes handy in case I have to pick up after Oct. 1

I'm bailing on Shadow ops and going to buy a few lowers locally today from a dealer who does on time release.

Lou's good to deal with. You do have to be careful in his shop though. I saw a customer get the crap scared out of him when Lou noticed he was looking at the Sarah Palin blow doll.

Lou can get pretty protective when it comes to Sarah.:lol2:

I finally had to have my pre-orders shipped to me unanodized because they were never going to make it. I think I ordered them all the way back in January too. PITA. I will have to ship them back to be completed.

They gave me the same option as well when they called me back in Aug. Decided to let them keep the Lower to finish the work. They told me five weeks out. Lucky it was four, just the flash flooding ans whether permitted the lower not being received last week. Still satisfied and appreciated the personal call from Paul.
