    Um, no...

They aren't going anywhere. They're from deeply entrenched Democrat areas and both of them have such massive pull within the MD Democratic Party that the DINO vote won't matter.

I love it when Governor Rick Perry from Texas are coming to tell us that our state is a mess and our governor is a PIECE OF SH*T and of course, my governor is disappointed with me because i bought a gun recently.

lol - I was watching the Alabama game and saw that commercial. My cousins just left Newport Beach outside of Los Angeles, where they own 4 restaurants and they moved to Dallas.

My wife and I just spent the last 3 hours looking at homes and farms in the Dallas/Houston corridor, comparing schools, and determining what the reciprocity policy is for pharmacy, CPA, and bar. Not really too bad on the reciprocity issue. Seems we can both get licensed in Texas without too much trouble.

Before even mentioning this to my wife, I was texting about it with my two brothers. One has already been looking at Dallas. The other has ZERO ties to Maryland (i.e., no wife and kids, or even a girlfriend) and he was on board with it. We are kicking around the possibility of starting a business there.

Oh yeah, did a search on the impact of overall taxes between Maryland and Texas. When property tax, income tax, rain tax, etc. is taken into account, taxes in Maryland account for 10.8% of income and in Texas only 6.7% of income.

Oh yeah, houses are really affordable too. Just finished looking at a massive house in a Dallas suburb on 12 acres for $595,000.

    http://www.redfin.com/TX/Forney/10720-Fm-1641-75126/home/33770681

Saw several 250+ acre farms in Houston County for $800k and a couple had houses on them too.

    http://www.landsoftexas.com/texas/Houston-County-land-for-sale/?PageNum=2

My wife even mentioned taking a vacation in Dallas next summer to visit my cousins, get their take on the place, tour the city and suburbs, and get a feel for what the people are like there.

Oh yeah, forgot that they are shall issue. Icing on the cake right there. Like getting my cake and getting to eat it too.

It really is tough to stomach all the liberal BS that is going on here. It was much better when I was broke, unmarried, without kids, driving a POS, and working 2 jobs to get through undergrad and law school. Not enough time to pay attention to all this political BS, or maybe it just wasn't as bad as it has been recently.

Just amazing what a commercial can do.

Who cares who is responsible. Heads need to roll, figuratively of course. So, instead of bickering over who was the most at fault, how about picking a couple of names from the list that we think we can remove from office next year and get working on that.

I agree with that. We need to pick two names that are relatively vulnerable and relatively big names, focus all our energies on them and send them into involuntary retirement from the legislature.

Of course O'Malley started the ball rolling & pushed it all the way...

    BUT we can't touch him...

BUT if we had some leadership, from the NRA or ??? we could focus on Miller & Busch like a laser beam...

Getting rid of these 2 Colorado style, would instill the "fear of god" in every legislator that was left...

We can't take them all on at once...

We would need to focus all our energy on these two...

No Colorado style moves in Maryland my friend. We don't have recalls here.

    Sgt Preston here...

So the point is that we all hate O'Malley = yeah great, big deal...

We can't hurt him, he can't be re-elected anytime soon...

BUT the guys that really made SB 281 the Law of the Land,

they are feeling none of our anger & are not worried about being re-elected...

That is what we need to change & it's within our power to bring heat every time they show up in public...

If we just had a bunch of guys that would show up & boo & heckle them every time they spoke, they'd feel our wrath...

To be effective any change will need to be two pronged, first we need to develop our own candidates for office and rally behind them, then work to build grassroots support to unseat those who have repeatedly voted for infringement of our rights and increasing our tax burden. With the gerrymandering, it will be an uphill battle in many areas, but we can identify and focus on vulnerable representatives. This goes for Miller, etc., we know thier names.

As individuals, yes... we know what SHOULD happen, and we can make sensible decisions.

As a voting public, we are dealing with people who are mostly comfortable with what they've always known to be the "norm"

As a result, we often hear "change now", but when it comes down to it, people are going to go with what they know.

I've discovered that, when starting anything new, the most effective way to implement something is to get new folks in, and treat it as if it's "aslwys been this way". This, IMO, is why the left has been so effective with young voters.

Changing the minds of blocs of long-time voters becomes near-impossible in this, barring a complete catastrophe.

But it does happen. Most of the South used to be solidly Democrat, now Clinton could not get elected in his own state. And, it does matter who's fault it is, because the same people when they realize how many semi-automatic rifles are not banned, will be back. Look at CA and NY if you don't believe me. Our laws are awful, but honestly they are not nearly as bad as NYC, or CA. It's enough to get the bums thrown out with someone only mildly to the right, and then over time the incremental change adds up.

    Sgt Preston here...

O'Malley doesn't write the legislation & can't vote on it...

Instead he uses his two stooges Busch & Miller to "make it happen"

Stooge #1. Michael Busch is the House Speaker...

Stooge #2. Thomas V. "Mike" Miller is the Senate President...

IF you want to change things in Merry-Land, these are the guys who pushed the Legislation thru & made SB 281 happen...

So if you want to change the climate in Merry-Land these are the first two guys that need to be re-called / dismissed / voted out...

We need to sharpen our focus and to take aim at the right targets...

OweMallet is Lame Duck & he's done in Merry-Land...

We really need to stop comparing MD to Colorado. Colorado is a purple state while we are a deep blue. DINO might help a little bit but we are not taking out any of the big players in 2014. They are in gerrymandered impossible to beat districts.

Ask Flacco about Maryland taxes. There was an article about OweMalley owns Flacco pocket. I am a redskins fan. I always wonder why all redskins player live in Northern VA. This is why.

Even though Millers district is gerrymandered his portion of Calvert County is very unhappy with his actions. I dream about punishing Busch and Miller politically.
