    The title is the question.

How will one be expected to prove ownership of a regulated firearm to avoid the training requirement post-10/1?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.

This has been discussed ad-nauseum (love to use that word) Go to the MD 2A section.
A short answer is that the burden of proof is on the state to prove when you bought it.

What about the 80% lowers, they are tring to stop the manufacturerng of firearms, but how can they prove when you finished the 80% lower when there are no clear way to track them?

file a freedom of information request with the MSP licensing section. The nice trooper will send you a print out with all the regulated weapons they have on file for you. Keep a running spreadsheet of all the 77R-2 numbers...

Unless one moved to this communist hole from another state and didn't have to register them...

I did read that thread, but I didn't see the answer to the particular question in there while I was reading through it.

It is a long thread, so maybe I missed a relevant post.

We can point to the actual law , and say that it is state's bureden of proof to say otherwise.
But to MSP's thinking the * non-Registration Registration * of 77R data will be their answer. We know that it could be pre-'96 private sale ( two year overlap between Evil Rifles included , and end of private sales ) , move from out of state , interstate C&R , etc , but don't expect them to assume it.

Better to ask "How will the State prove I didn't own my regulated firearm before October 1?".
