Do you have a C&R? Wideners has the virtually identical CZ50 for about $30 more. That only has one magazine, no box and no test target, but can ship directly to a C&R holder.

    Wideners has ammo, too.

The CZ70 is not C&R eligible, so you'll have to pay the transfer fee, maybe $60 or so, then wait 8 to 180 days to take it home. But those CZ70s look very nice.

Either one is sub-marginal for defensive use, but looks like a cool range toy.

Even if you pay $60 for the transfer, you'll do okay with that second mag, An aftermarket mag costs about $30, so it works out about the same from either AIM or Wideners.

Those AIM pistols look first class.

Just do the transfer with someone who releases in 8 - 10 days.

On the other hand, you could get your C&R in about two months, then get the CZ50 in three days, which is a lot faster than MSP is processing Not Disapprovals.

Because they are not on the Handgun Roster. The ironic thing is they don't have to be because they quit making them pre 85. Aim doesn't see this due to Md.'s complicated gun laws so they are just covering their ass.

That's some b.s. ... this state kills me sometimes. That was the understanding that I had as well, thought these would be exempt from the roster.

It says not for sale in MD.
Here's the scoop: (I also asked them to correct their web page.) :party29:

    You're correct, our apologies.

    Thanks,

I just got an email on your new in stock items and noticed that you say no sales to MD for the CZ 70.
This gun is legal here in MD and has been sold here in the past.
If you are using the MD State Police Handgun Roster for reference - please note that ANY GUN MADE PRIOR to January 1,1985 is EXEMPT from the roster and you probably won't see them. For some unknown reason, some exempt guns have been listed needlessly.

Agreed that the gun laws here are pretty bizarre, but please don't put any further unwarranted restrictions on gun sales to your MD customers.
    thanks.

You can still get the virtually identical CZ50 from Wideners. Unless you have a C&R though, it's not such a great deal.

    So get your C&R.

My 70 does not - repeat: Does Not - like domestic .32 ACP ammunition. The dimensional differences between American and foreign .32 and the CZ70's difficulty with the former have been covered elsewhere. But with Prvi Partisan it's a fun, CZ-quality pistol.

C&R handguns are still considered regulated and must be shipped to a FFL

Not if purchased from an out of state vendor. Only applies to an in-state purchase of a C&R firearm considered regulated in MD. From the major distributors any C&R is shipped directly to you.
