Lol I guess the Brownells lady was wrong. The M3 windows I had ordered shipped on Tuesday. That's an awfully short timeframe from when I called last week and was told they weren't even in production...

I think when you call them they just tell you anything to get you off the phone.

Could be. Before all the craziness they were a pleasure to deal with (and still are IMO). As a gunsmith I've spent thousands on my own tools and parts not counting what I've bought from them for work... the gun techs have always been helpful and knowledgeable. Customer service was the best in the industry.

I try not to fault them too much, as everyone was slammed with the unexpected demand.

The only thing I did not like is back when they sent out that confusing letter that talked about something they did. All I can figure is they were catering to their best customers and not just sending the orders out first come first serve like that should do, and someone caught them at it.

You see, this is a reason I'm not very happy with them. These are the same mags I had on order starting back in Dec.

I actually didn't realize they had that situation going on. I saw them on arpartsfinder and grabbed 4 as fast as I could type. After finishing placing my order I read the part that basically said after my order was placed even though it showed as in stock, may be sold out and have to be backordered. Then I read about the Brownells PMAG situation :( I waited a few days and kept monitoring brownells and my order just said pending. I think it was day 3 that I actually called to cancel my order and she said they were shipping that day. Funny thing is they got delivered today and on the site my Brownells account still shows that order as pending. I don't blame anyone who had backorders waiting to be filled for being irate, I certainly would.

Brownells seems to be hit or miss - some stuff arives OK 1-2 weeks, others like an A1 buffer tube I ordered took 3 months. Originally in stock when order placed then kinda went on back order?

I finally got to inspect my backorder s in a neighboring state. For the money I am pleased and brownells will get my biz again for honoring it.

For background it was in two pieces a day apart.

One batch came in with magpul Moes better known as m2s without the overs.

The bigger batch which was the second came in with sweet m3s with the covers and cut for piston guns.

Given the add didn't specify generations and most of my guns are ok with gen2s I am pleased.

Keep in mind these were ordered when all hell broke loose and shipped about a month ago.

I have had an order in from December 26 of 2012. I am a MD resident (bill to), but they are supposed to be sent to a PA address (ship to).
The customer service lady is telling me that Brownells cannot do that because of state/federal laws...

    WTF?

Weird. I had a previous order of Pmags that did ship to my VA address.

Weird I did the same thing (different neighboring state) no problem whatsoever other than the delay. I am pretty set on mags now so it probably isnt an issue, though I could use a couple M3 20rders if I get the Tavor I have been thirsting for.

Anyone order pmags recently from Brownells? I noticed they had ones listed in stock, but still had the red text about not taking orders for them. I was able to add to cart, but was wondering if there will still be a delay on shipping.

Just placed an order with Brownells yesterday. I got a call today from them asking me to confirm my order and everything. Is this normal from Brownells?

Not in my experience. Are you using a card with a billing address in one state and shipping to another?
