So now she admits, before the bill is even signed, that she wants to get rid of shooting sports all together. It doesn't matter if a majority of your constituents want them banned, The Constitution trumps them, madame, that's why it's an enumerated amendment.

She mentioned someone who implimented Operation Alamo!

He actually posted about the exchange last night. Apparently walked in directly after MOM left and effectively burst her bubble high from him coming to her office.

I have to say, judging by her comments about competitive shooting, she has to be a primary target for Alamo. I think she is pissed that we turned on her once we discovered her lies and deceit and now she wants blood.

I don’t know who my fans are. I came here to make a difference and hopefully my constituents will recognize that."

Very proud of Maryland for being in the forefront, for taking a stand, for doing what we can to reduce gun violence. Despite the naysayers, I think it will work.

    Clueless :sad20:

Did anyone catch this buried in the article as a direct quote of hers? "One of the things I think we might consider in the future is about competitive shooting … let some of this dust settle, come back next January." Any idea what that's about?

That's what I struggle with - how much money is it worth spending trying to defeat those who are imbedded deep in blue districts? Seems like it would take 2 or 3 hundred grand to even have a reasonable chance of unseating her, when spending 10 or 20k could almost certainly wreck others.

I read it as an admission that effectively banning Olympic firearms is stupid and she'll be open to fixing it later.

Why they didn't fix it in the first place is anyone's guess.

That's their MO. They take the 2A apart, piece by piece. They divide the gun owners and then take what they can get, then come back the following year and take more.

Why they didnt just fix everything thats wrong with the bill instead of rushing it through is just a testament to the fact that this was a feel good bill ramrodded through the system with no regard to the constitutionality of it. Like the PBJ clause for instance, PBJ is not a conviction, or the Regulated Ammunition, why not put in a clause for steel shot shell? Unfortunately this will go unchecked until everyone in the state gets pissed off about it.
