We still aren't sure of when the 2nd reading will be. We will know more after Monday when they special order it. Logic would dictate Tuesday but Smigel and company are going to try for Wednesday to help run out the clock.

The clock is not running out on this bill... This is the governor's signature piece of legislation for this session.

What rationale could Smigiel have that would convince the Speaker to not read it on Tuesday? Heck, we couldn't even get him to consider Jesus Christ on Friday.

The first day it shows up on the House floor it will be Special Ordered to allow for Delegates to be able to read it and get amendments ready. For something this big, the 2nd reading does not happen on the first day on the floor (look at Civil Marriage).

So, while it doesn't how up yet, it may, and if it doesn't hit the floor on Monday, then it will on Tuesday and be Special Ordered for Wednesday. Make no mistake, with the amount of debate and the amendments that will take place on the House floor, this will be Special Ordered. (98% sure, there is always room for games like on Friday).

It really depends on where we are with work production schedule for next week's deliveries. My department is fairly small, so being short handed can affect output when we're busy... and we are.

My supervisors and the owner are very Pro-2A, and are fine with me taking these day trips, so long as it doesn't compromise workflow.

- Stand in witness to the legislature's actions
- Show of support for those standing up for our rights

Will our presence have any effect on possible fence sitters? While we "scare" the dedicated gun grabbers into backing off?

Probably not but I don't intend to stand around and do nothing about it. If being there gets just one of them thinking about their actions and future consequences, it's worth my time. Watching in person as they trample our rights is also a great energizer for 2014 campaign activities.

It is readout of committee only today for the 3:00 session. They cannot do readout and 2nd reading/debate/amendments in the same session. There is virtually zero chance of a second session today.
