MSP wait times for handgun approval

Thursday, January 17 purchase at the Gun Center in Frederick. Got my call today, Friday, February 22.

I know from a earlier call to them this week that they had to spend a day sometimes after getting the MSP approved list fax getting things in order before calling the customer. So it's possible that the approval was in yesterday. No big deal as their handling time is a small fraction of the total.

No, you can submit new paperwork ~23 days after your last pickup.

You can submit paperwork whenever you want. It doesn't have anything to do with paperwork; only when you take possession of a firearm.

QUESTION: Ok so I came home today to a message on my phone from a lady at MSP. All she said was she had a question about my application and asked that I call her Monday morning. My mind is now curious what this is about. Is such a call a bad thing or is likely a minor issue?

Papers were done Saturday(2/16) at an MSP barrack.

Here's the problem with this (one of them):

What happens when August rolls around and they are at a SIXTY day wait. Who's gonna want to test out whether or not they'll get a not disapproved by 10/1? (assuming SB281 passes looking like it does now)

Wow! I must have passed you in the parking lot.
I was also there today, but no joy. Did my paperwork January 18th and was told by them today they are getting back stuff from 14th to the 18th... mine wasn't one of them.

They weren't busy (surprised), so I spent some time taking with the guy about the disgusting fiasco that went on last night in JPR. I'm hoping I can credit the time I spend in the gun store toward my 4-hours of training if this $hit becomes law.

Yea, well mine only took 8 days. My dealer releases after 7 days with/without MSP approval...
