a guy bought the last two boxes of .45acp.
the seller asked if he was going to the range.
he said no, that they were too valuable to shoot.:lol2:

My Mom is doing the live fire portion of her NC CCW March 2nd, no 9mm to be found at this point......

I have several hundred rounds of .45, very little (high dollar) 9mm.

    Situation blows lately

Told my buddy the same thing on New Years eve when he asked if I was going to fire a couple rounds off at midnight. I told him I was just going to take the gun out and yell bang a few times cause ammo is too expensive to shoot.

REALLLY wish our neighbors did this guess they dont realize what goes up must come down such a waste!!!

I am constantly cruising the gun shops and Walmart, searching for ammo. I shoot what I can find. I don't want to shoot anything in my stockpile right now.

Yeah, kicking myself in the rear for not purchasing more ammo before the ARpocalypse. I'm hoping to find some decent prices on 9mm Speer Gold Dots at somepoint, they use to go for $0.45 online.

I'm with you all. I'm in the process of loading my empty rifle cases like 30-06, .308, Swiss 7.5, 6.5 Carcano (thanks Mooseman) and a few other calibers so I add to my reserves. Hopefully we don't get to the point of having to load our own .22LR ammo.

A couple of months ago I reloaded every piece of brass (.38 spc, .44 Mag and .45 ACP) I had components to reload. I ran out of .357 bullets, and ran out of brass for both .45 ACP and .44 Mag, so I'm as flush with handgun ammo as I've ever been. I haven't had the opportunity to go shooting recently so it's kinda just sitting there, which for now is ok I suppose because if I shoot it up, I'm going to completely run out of components (mainly primers) and those are pretty scarce at the moment.

Is there a problem with buying ammo on GunBroker.com if the prices are right? Why do people feel like they need to go to Walmart everyday looking. Save some diesel, buy online. I just pciked up 500rds at a fair price. I would rather have 500rds at a few cents higher per round than nothing at all

I have a backorder for 1000 9mm with Midsouth right now. Can't wait to get the email saying it shipped.

I've only taken my gun to the range about 4 times since the shortage began. I've got one more trip coming up this week with an out of town friend, after which I'm going to take it easy until things return to normal.
