I received my Linberta semi tactical shotgun on 9/21. I shot it at my own range twice allready and is a very nice shotgun. I am relatively new to shotgunning and am recoil sensitive. I shot both high brass, low brass, slugs and OO and all cycled perfectly. The gun has a great feel to it and sites beautifully.
I did not clean it before I first shot it and I had two failures to feed. My fault. Cleaned it and shot it next day and was perfect.
I enjoyed the video from Buds and have to admit this was the tipping point regarding my purchase. I tried everything Tony demonstrated and he was spot on! I am looking forward to shooting it more this weekend.
By the way, I have read some of the recent posts from Matt of Linberta and he has been very helpfull and patient. He also responded to me personally on a couple of occasions.
I am going to shoot my Linberta often in the next few weeks and will post updates periodically.

    Can it shoot tachion bursts?

Just joined and was wondering if there's been anymore updates from anyone about their Linberta. I came across Linberta's and this forum while researching Tactical/HD pump shotguns. I've read all the Linberta posts here and on some other sites and other than the complaints about their origin they seem well made and all current owners report that they operate flawlessly. Granted there doesn't seem to be any input or data out there regarding more than a few hundred rounds fired, but as with any new product only time and use will highlight build quality or lack there of. Hence my question of additional firing/testing.

Just saw your review, gun looks really nice. Sounds like you have about 600-700 rounds thru it now with no signs of issues. I'm mostly interested in an HD/Tactical range gun and not interested in skeet or trap nor will it be for hunting, so likely any shotgun I get will only see a few hundred rounds a year.

I wish money was no object because I like the Mossberg 590A1, but that's in the $500-$600 range, and I've limited my budget to $300 for a limited use pump shotgun. I was first looking at the H&R Pardner Protector, Norinco Hawk 982, Savage 350 and Maverick 88 which are all in the $200 range. I'd likely want to add ghost ring sights and a pistol grip which would run another $125-$150. That's when I found the Linberta PA101TAC. It has all these options, plus muzzle brake/flash hider, internal chokes, and other goodies for $299...plus it looks bada$$.

I understand you. It all depends on what you want and are willing to do for it. If you want the more expensive one just save. Matt and Bud's were great to deal with. The Semi showed up quick and after a call they sent the 30 round ammo belt. Matt said due to people thinking it was a bad idea sending an extra firing pin and spring they dropped it. I asked for it and he promptly sent me the shims, spring and an extra firing pin. I don't think I will need any of them but will take them just in case!
The day I picked up my Linberta I handled a used $699 Remington 1100 with the Linberta sitting on the counter. The stock and front sight on the Linberta were better. It was also lighter but the blueing versus black hard chrome and gloss of the 1100 finish made it look a little prettier. The 1100 new though is $1000 which is more than I wanted to spend for this blaster. No complaints from me at all with my purchase. It's like my Witness guns one of the best for the money I have done.

I am sure that tactical shotgun in a pump is amazing. Later on down the road I may pick one of those up. :party29:

Well that has to be the first time I ever heard anybody say they wish they could afford a Mossberg! Myself I have kinda been saving up for a 1983 Yugo. It's sort of been a dream of mine forever but just out of reach financially!

It's all relative bro, some like convertibles some like trucks. I'm a handgun guy mostly and prefer revolvers. This will be my first shotgun purchase. Shot plenty of them just never really had a need for one in the house. I just kinda got a hankering for one (recent political climate) and I'm more of a tacti-cool guy when it comes shotguns :-) so the looks of the 590A1 appeals to me. So does the Linberta tactical especially for $300.

Mossberg is the best HD shotgun you can buy.

Also don't out price yourself. I picked a 500 up with a 26" barrel for $50 and slapped an 18.5" barrel on it. All told $150 and I've got an old school riot shotgun perfectly suited for HD. After you get the base platform then you can upgrade as you see fit.

In all fairness, that thread is alot of opinion. The best HD shotgun is the one where the features best suit the individual user. IE safety placement, ergonomics, capacity, and individual features of that specific firearm. Personally I would agree with mossberg. Two extractors and the safety position are my personal reasons. I've had 870s not spit the last round out of the tube on frequent occasions. My mossberg 500 has been beaten to death and has NEVER had a problem.

My point, a blast from a mossberg is a blast from a Remington is a blast from a franchi...etc

I agree 100%. As long as what you have functions and works for you theres no argument to be found. As I said I prefer revolvers, not always the first choice for combat situations...unless you are trained to use one effectively and efficiently. Same as I prefer pump action over semi-auto shotguns. To each is own :-)

Well I went ahead and pulled the trigger (pun intended) on a Linberta PA101TAC pump shotgun. Almost went for the Mossy 590A1 for twice the money, but decided to give this one a try since it's my first shotgun purchase. I figure if I really start shooting a lot then I'll consider buying a more expensive well known brand. If it ends up being a quality piece then I won't have to, if not I'm only out $300.

Also this was my first experience with Bud's & Linberta and all I can say is wow. Both Bud's and Matt from Linberta have been great. Super fast responses to questions (some within minutes) and Rex at Bud's got my order in the system and ready for processing in less than 24-hrs (and all this when they've been swamped with holiday orders). I should likely get it next week so I'll post my initial impressions once I do.

Still waiting on it to arrive at my FFL. I think the weekend & holidays are slowing it down. I'll be sure to post some pics once I get it. Happy New Year!

Just hang tough. You probably ordered right about the time all the buying went nuts. I would call though and see or send them a note.
