First, let me say that domestic violence is horrific, and the KC Chiefs linebacker incident was nothing short of a tragedy. That being said...

Not a huge fan of O'reilly, but I checked out a rerun of his segment with Costas tonight. Idiocy at all levels. He's talking about gun purchases not requiring background checks (against a clip of a gun show), mandatory training for firearms purchase (not carry, but purchase!), and how it's horrible that people can buy "military grade artillery" and "automatic weapons," and only the police should have artillery and automatic weapons.

Then they talked about Aurora, and Costas said that the guy had 'artillery' (listening for the word this time) and body armor (didn't catch if he said the guy had an automatic weapon or not, but the phrase 'military grade' came up). O'reilly took the position that he'd much rather have had a firearm to protect himself than have to cower and just hope that the shooter left him alone; Costas took the position that civilians with weapons would have resulted in huge collateral damage.

Then they talked about "gun culture" and professional athletes, and Costas ended with something along the lines of "I can't think of any case where an athlete with a gun prevented something from happening but there are numerous cases where an athlete with a gun ended in tragedy."

Absolutely asinine. And this is what they're getting on a "conservative" show. It's no wonder the 2A is under attack, if even Fox News is willing to go along with anti-gun propaganda and not call Costas on his complete lack of understanding of both the law and situations.

Costas is a leftist d-bag with a Napoleon complex who's intent on digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself. To be clear, O'Reilly is not a conservative, not in terms of the contemporary mis-definition.

O'Reilly is a giant rusty tool, and is far from conservative. He is a proponant of a controlling, statist govt that abides only by the rules he agrees with. Hmmm, just like many who call themselves "conservative".

I watched the video twice just to see where O'reilly which I have maybe watched twice in my entire life, was an *******. From where I'm looking, it seemed even by the look of fear in his eyes Boob Costas was trying to back pedal most of what he said and throw the KC sports writer under the bus. And, back to what I said earlier, O'reilly seemed to not throw any anti 2A comments out there at all. Intact I can't remember the last time I heard a commentator say "I Want A Gun". Then again, I could be way off base because as I said I never watch his show, and really don't know much about his views.

I actually watch O'Reilly 3-4 times a week and can't say I've ever heard him say anything anti-2A.What his official stance is though,I have no clue.I did get a chuckle at 3:30 in the vid when costas said "only the military and police".:lol2:

O'Reilly mentioned supporting some regulation vaguely at one point in the discussion when "military grade arsenals" came up in reference to the Colorado Theater Shooting, that's where his views begin to separate from the 2A group.

I must have missed that, but I did catch him saying that he and millions of other people would rather have a gun on them than duck down on the floor (in reference to the Colorado shooting). To me that means he is more pro-2A than not.

I saw this too, but I thought he was agreeing with the reference to the 40% of gun sales with background checks and more stringent laws. When costas said that, I yelled at my Xoom and said, "buy a firearm in Maryland"!!!

Costas is living in a fantasy world. Would he feel safer if the movie theatre was filled with armed cops instead of citizens? He would say yes, if not say it he would think it. Just like the alcohol makes people kill people, and crash cars. Oh yeh, and all those drugs....those illegal drugs......are easier to get then firearms. Human survival is most basic instinct we have, and when faced with pure evil everyone EVERYONE would rather be armed then not, Costas is just lying to himself. If he could say with a straight face he would not want to be armed if someone was trying to kill him then I feel sorry for his family or anyone who stands near that guy. Same guy who would watch you burst in to flames before he throws a glass of water on you because he's scared he might get burned.
