I wanted one...until i read that theres no heat shielding over the action, so after about 100 rounds the arra where you place your cheek becomes quite hot. Other than that, their pretty cool

Isnt this the typical Keltec vaporware? Advertise, build demand and then produce at a trickle?

Yea, pretty much...its was the only kel that i would have added to my collection, really not a fan of anything else they have...but the rfb is such a nice looking gun.

I bought into Kel Tec R&D for the RFB.

I had to ship it back after the first 10 rounds detonated the gas block and sent the piston flying.

Though I included 20 rounds of ammo for the broken gas block repair, no function test was preformed because-

It FTE upon return. I shipped the bolt back for repair.

Next, the bolt carrier reinforcement tab that the piston strikes had it's two tack welds sheared off

after fewer than 200 rounds- all factory ammo, as I do not reload. This is my first and only Keltec product. I was hoping to attach a suppressor to the RFB to take advantage of it's short OAL but it's so far been a disappointment.

Pushed 800 rounds thru it when I got it back the third time (sorry Myrtle Grove guys). It now sports a gen 2 gas system. FTF increased as round count grew. Jams are not a quick clear. Some require disassembly.

Lack of heat shield not a big deal with shooting 800 rounds at one sitting but black guns get hot in direct sunlight.

I trust it enough to take it deer hunting. Zombies get the FAL.

Had one, sold it here in the classifieds, nice plinker but in the end did not feel confident enough to take it to war with me and for the price I paid, I could of got a reliable Arsenal or Colt for less.

so basically you don't find it that reliable then huh. That sucks, I was really hoping it was going to be a good gun. Are there any other bullpup style rifles out there that would be of better quality?

PS90 is a well thought out and built rifle. 5.7x28 is not a .308. Lots of 5.7 cartridge haters.

    I love mine

The AUG looks totally bad ass. The trigger is terrible. Maybe someone has figured a way to improve it?

The FAL is the rifle next to my RFB in the bottom pic in my first post. Is shares mags with the RFB. Big reason I got the RFB in the first place.

My Imbel FAL hasn't failed to empty a mag. It's eaten at least 15k.

Yeah it is semi auto. But if youve 25 to 35 grand sitting around why not go for the real thing?

If you want a semi auto FN made FAL you can get them for less than that. The relatively few NFA FAL's can reach the extreme price ranges.

I hate to say it, as sexy as it is $1600 is far to much for keltec plastic. Dont get me wrong the Sub2000 is an awesome gun for what it is, the KSG looks good if pricing ever stabilizes.

Does anyone know if this is an Oleg Volk photo? It reminds me of his work.
