A bit too short of notice to spin up for that event, but look for MSI at the Towson Spring Festival on May 5-6. An email update will come out at some point inside of the next week or so, soliciting volunteers to man the booth. More info will be included in that update.

How about Bowiefest on June 2?

I know Berwyn RGC will have a booth.

    OMG ZOMBIE THREAD!!!! :omg:

I'm with you guys. It's good to use history as we move forward. I think the topic of this thread is still alive and kicking. We're going to see it again.

    Very true.

Last spring we did win the skirmish this thread refers to, but we are going to have a lot of big battles coming up, and soon.

We need to all keep alert and ready to bombard the Legislature and Senate with phone calls, letters, and e-mails when the alarm is sounded by MSI and the AGC.
Our opponents are definitely making some serious plans to resist the strong trend towards greater firearms freedom in Maryland.

I think January is going to be critical. We need to have a LOT of people show up at the MSI rally in Annapolis, and we need to pack the hearing rooms for every gun bill throughout the legislative session.

Please plan now to be there in Annapolis next winter.

I don't think that emails and calls are going to cut it this time, it's going to take boots on the ground.

We can't yet know how CA4 will rule or when the ruling will come, but we can practically bet the farm that Annapolis is going to some up with at least one fast tracked bill that's going to address carry itself, training and TPM restrictions. We need to overwhelm the hearing room on "Gun Day."

Agree... just because "we" had "them" outnumbered something like 40:2, won't mean a whole lot if the Delegates and Senators are still going to pretend we're not there, talk among themselves during testimony, and walk in and out of the room at will.

We'll need to come up with something they can't ignore (besides a peaceful sea of blue), to ensure they understand this really IS that important.

And, if CA4 was to rule on, say, Jan 4.........

How bad form is it, if your the one testifying, to call out the people who aren't paying attention?

That was asked among the group last Gun Day... but no one dared try it outright!

I seem to recall a couple folks who testified (Norton may have been one, I forget the others), making somewhat pointed references to a particular committee member during our comments.

We won't know when until the session begins and bills are scheduled for hearings. Generally speaking, it's in late February through early March.

As for where, it's in Annapolis in the House and/or Senate buildings on Bladen St.

Is that the MD general assembly time frame ? (I'm a slow learner )

I plan on being there. That time of year is generally slow for my work, not a big deal if I take off ... and I live just outside the Annap zip code by a few hundred feet ... I'm in the neighborhood
