    I've found that out.

My local PD isn't going to have MD's purple card.

So I emailed Pikesville again....requesting a couple purple cards be mailed....and what I wanted them for. Got a response back saying they are in the mail! Now i'm thinking I should have asked for both cards....but I know I can get the blue and white card locally...and just fill in that NUMBER that's needed.

    :D

You have to call them for a reason like that
I couldn't find the phone number, and didn't want to the chance of someone having an attitude on the phone with me, so I decided to send an email about my address change. Surprising enough I received an email back within an hour and stated: "Your address has been changed in your records." no signature or record of who sent it... but at least I know it was read and SOMEONE replied.
I know police are trained to be short and authoritative on the streets, but especially in the licensing division, I think they could use some customer service training.

    Thanks. I'll try calling today.
Make absolutely sure they change your address on file. Same thing happened to me, I turned in my permit and before I went in for my interview I had moved. I TOLD them my new address, the lady wrote it down...but guess where they sent my permit? Thats right, my OLD address. Thankfully my old address was a co-worker of mine that I was renting from so going and picking it up was no big deal, even though I had no idea it was sitting at my old address for 2 weeks.

Thanks for the info. I have address forwarding also... so IF they do send it to my old address still... and they allow forwarding, hopefully I will still get it.

Does anyone know if address is posted on the permit card in MD? I was told by Utah that I could just let them know the address and place a sticker with new address over the old or on the back of the card. Knowing MD, Im sure Id have to buy another card.

Sounds to me like you got pretty darn good customer service. You sent an e-mail and got a reply within an hour telling you that what you requested had been accomplished. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
Maybe you were looking for some touchy-feely, "with all due respect and always at your service" type of stuff that I'm sure they really don't have time for at the moment. Put your hurt feelins aside and be happy for the progress.

Guess I'm a guinea pig for the next set of applicants. Sent mine away today. As long as the 4th doesn't issue a stay I'm assuming it will be processed correctly.
