shipping not so bad @~15 for 1k.. $18 for 1500...

I ordered 1k rounds for $200 shipped ( charged tax in VA )

I ended up doing the same thing. For that price ($200 shipped) you can't beat the price. Walmart is more expensive for non +p. I think the model 10 will have it's fair share of this perky stuff to eat :party29:

I started filling it all out but then did a search and seen that if you google FC38G it comes up with Fiocchi regular 38 spl. I then tried searching for comments about the place and looked at their facebook, Only 5 likes, seems like they are new. Since i dont really need the 38spl, i decided to pass, but i hope all goes well for the rest of you guys.

Hope this doesn't end up like that too good to be true 45 ACP. That turned out to be too good to be true.

I ordered some and will hope for the best.

The company the OP linked to is Streicher's. They've been around for years and are well respected.

I agree with you about Fiocchi. Seems like bad info on that Streicher's web page. The description is +P lead semi-wadcutter hollow-point rounds, otherwise known as "FBI load", presumably the gray LE box from Federal. AFAIK, CCI Speer doesn't make it. $8.88 per 50 rounds for Federal FBI load seems too good to be true. Makes much more sense for Fiocchi FMJ target ammo.

If it really is Federal FBI load, I shoot it regularly. Be warned that recoil is vicious, basically on par with or worse than many .357 Magnum rounds. I would shoot it very sparingly out of a non-.357 revolver. It's damned near unusable in something like a J-frame Airweight and still painful in a S&W Model 60. Even my S&W Model 66 gets rocked by it, compared to wimpy recoil from 125gr HP .357 rounds.

Huh, I ordered a bunch for the model 10 I bought. Hope it works out. Meh, worth a shot and if someone wants to try some and save on shipping I can dish some of mine out. Either way... :)
