I had a chance to buy one a year ago from out of state for 2600. It would have meant 200 extra to get it off the form 4 and to me. If I had the extra cash I would have just to put it on shelf for sale. The days of 2500 dollar macs are gone I am afraid.

i've actully been looking at em a little bit...thinking of taking the plunge. Any suggestions of someone to handle the transfer in MoCo? (Either rockville area where i work, or Damascus where i live). Do you have to file paperwork with MSP to get approval before you even locate a gun, or can you start all the paperwork once you find one (and just wait to pick it up?)

You might be able to swing a slightly better deal if you buy a bigger package - ie, one that has the .22LR conversion, a MAX11 upper, etc. Of course, this is going to cost more...

When I bought mine in January the saying was:

    2500 sells Now
    3000 sells eventually
3500 Lets people know you own one

Glad I got in when prices were slightly depressed.

Youre going to hate me... I paid 350.00 for my macs back in the late 80's
    1200 for the ac556, 2800 for an M16 and 2900 for an MP5

Go see Ted and Andy over at Engage Armament in Kensington. They may even have one in stock.
