I've been stalking the forums for a while now and haven't posted before this. But I just wanted to thank everyone who went and represented us today. You are most definitely appreciated!

Liberalism is based on emotions and feelings, not facts or logical thought.

My hat is off to everyone who attended and testified today,

Vallario didn't seem to opposed to any testimony today (what I saw) and actually added a few good comments.

Does he always use this tactic, or is he swaying a little?

Del. Vallario has a job to do. He seems fair and made some pretty good comments at last years hearing about regulated ammo. I loved last year when he asked all those present if anyone knew of an example of any ammunition that would only go in a regulated gun. Everyone said NO! I believe he already knew the answer, but was making a point in a very diplomatic way. I don't know about all of the politics, but last year at the hearings he was pretty fair.

Del Smigiel is a rock star! I wish he was my representative.

Thanks to everyone who attended on our behalf! I'm still at intern level so unable to miss much work...

I'll tell you how libs think on guns (what I use to think)...guns are bad. Bad guys use guns, why do we want more of them?....got mugged, lived in the hood, dealt with hoodlums whose moms didn't whoop their ass enough.... boom. Guns help honest citizens defend themselves against people who will carry/do what they want regardless of laws. And the fact that everyday law-abiding tax paying citizens might be packing is the only thing that will keep trash in check.

Now I watch Stossel and joined this site :)

    Thanks again MSI!!!!

I prefer to say anti-gun mentality, since there liberals who believe in gun rights. (I"m pretty liberal in a lot of ways).

    I'll add what I've learned:

Anti-gun people believe no crime is worth death. If you break into someone's house, they should either let them rob, call the police and wait, or maybe, use a bat.

Anti-gun people believe laws are followed by all, and seem to truly struggle understanding the idea that criminals don't obey the law.

Anti-gun people are obsessed with "what-if's." For example, a woman was murdered at Glen Burnie Mall. Many people argued if she had a gun, she would have had a chance. Anti-gun people argued "Carrying guns is a BAD Idea, because what if someone becomes unhinged, or what if someone gets mad at shoots someone." I think they call this a strawman arguement. Anti-gun people love to use strawmen arguments.

Anti-gun people seem to love victim blaming.

I have to resist the urge to stand up and applaud right here in my office. You want revenue? How about all the tax revenue of the people moving out of state because they can not protect themselves here! WELL SAID SIR!

If that was younger guy with the buzzcut that was me. I dont know if it was said by others.
I got there at 1030 and left at 730 but it was a good day and i think we had a strong showing. Norton was on fire during the whole hearing. We are lucky to have guys like him on our side.

Agreed. Thanks Paul in the truest sense.

Don't you work for a living? How many hours to have those briefs (paper and otherwise) ready? 7 hours?

    Thanks.

It takes a while. At least grad school research class gets put to practical use once in a while.

Thanks to all who went today. You are on the front line in the battle to (re)secure our Second Amendment rights in "The Free State".

I couldn't watch the video feed; does anyone know if it was saved for playback anywhere? I'd love to see it.
