Vallario is the tool that is squatting on HB-9 because he knows it has the votes to pass. Douchebaggery, I tell ya !

That's the worst part about our Marylandistan "democracy", hundreds, even thousands of people can voice their opinion on a bill, take time from their busy schedule to travel to Annapolis, testify for HOURS upon HOURS pleading with the legislature, and this knob can just inject his personal opinions and make all that effort fruitless. What a heinous, pompous ass.

Vallario didn't seem to opposed to any testimony today (what I saw) and actually added a few good comments.

Does he always use this tactic, or is he swaying a little?

I think Vallario can be swayed. I'm not so sure about some others.

I watched a little of this on the net and one thing I found interesting. Our side presents facts....numbers that can't be argued with. They presented opinions and emotion...coming to the table with no knowledge as to what they were even arguing against.

    Tactic !

He pulled the same shit during the HB-9 testimony. Smigiel gave him more than satisfactory answers to all of his queries and even looked pleased at times. Then he sits on it for a few weeks, forgets what was said and realizes, "Hmmm, I'm a huge tool, I'll squat on this because I know it'll pass".

I wouldn't be so certain it has the votes to pass.

Why would any legislative body give one person that much power over the will of the people ? Maybe one that wants to legislate in spite of the people. Why do the citizens of this state continue to elect politicians that decide for them what they should decide for themselves ? Sheeple.

Vallario has never shown to be a true anti, and he raped the FOID bill last year.

I suspect that there is a lot of back room activity going on. Who knows what Frosh or the other big boys have pointed at him if he decided to let one of the pro-gun bills past.

Now that said, he did let the Civil Immunity Bill be voted on when he knew Frosh would kill it, so there's gotta be more.

I wonder if Smeigel will do his floor petition again.

I don't claim to know parlimentry procedure for every Constitutional Republic everywhere, but I'd say it's pretty common. A bill is assigned to a relevant committee, they study, amend or whatever the bill. Only when the committee chairman decides to vote on it does that vote happen. Seems pretty universal.

He is also inclined to not allow votes because Sen. Frosh would never allow them to go through on his side.

Mark of a wise political leader. Don't make your members vote on a bill that could negativly impact them if you don't have to.

    At Wal-Mart, buying more ammo.
    Thanks to all who participated!

Delegate Smigiel, you are STILL the man!!!

Many of the same points argued AGAIN, this year.

MOST of the opposition to the gun issues are born from a lack of knowledge of guns. In essence, these are seemingly intelligent, but actually stupid people, in extremely important positions - scary.
