Good video. Those things really are pretty cool. I wonder how the MP 38 compares?

And I like your modifications. Very practical and personal. I've never handled a Thompson, but I've heard the ergonomics of the stock are really awkward, and just looking at pictures, I can see that.

So I think you are far from the first to realize the length of pull is way too long.

No doubt, but I have heard the stock set up feels weird, so the fact that the OP shortened the pull on his replica just fits with what I'd heard.

It's a healthy thing that he wasn't afraid to make it his own.

Mine has held up very well so far and no problem with LOP for me.
Agree on the accuracy - surprisingly good with the open sights.
Now to find a cheap(er) mag source.

No this gun is really quite balanced. I have this. I have relative that has the Umarex German MP40, now that one is awkward because absolutely no weight in the stock its barrel heavy as all the weight is in the front.

These punch pretty good. Can punch holes through View attachment 443502 Campbells soup cans at 20' away. They are heavy too. Look good enough to mount on your wall. View attachment 443502
