Scope and ring ideas

Couple months ago snagged a a Ruger Ranch in 7.62 × 39. First Bolt gun that needs a scope. I have No clue. Well looking at the Vortex Crossfire 11 4x12x50. Would like to be able to see holes on paper at 100 yds.
Basically just a fun 100 yd range rifle that if needed ,could put food on the table.

I've used a vortex crossfire on two different guns for that purpose. It'll work just fine.
