Is it possible to get an SBR approved lengthwise on an AR with a 7.5 inch barrel? I saw this stock......

    https://www.magpul.com/products/moe-sl™-carbine-stock

And was thinking if it has a 14.4 inch LOP fully extended, it might get me to the magical 29 OAL. Thoughts?
That stock wouldn't do the trick, LOP is measured from the trigger. The longest collapsible stock that Magpul offers is the ACS & ACS-L stocks. For your application you probably would need one of the Vltor A5 buffer tubes and a pinned extended muzzle device.

Just get a different upper so you don't waste your time with the ATF.

easier fix would be to just pin an extended flash hider and that would bring his barrel up a 9.5 inch barrel. The rest of the length could then be made up at the stock...... Not a big deal.

I had to have a 7.5 and now I rarely ever shoot it. Just sooooo loud! 10.5-11.5 is a great length for an AR.

If you really want 7.5 you will probably have to pin a flash hider. Now a 6-7" 9MM is super fun!
