I have an account with both ATF and Silencer Shop. I recently bought another can but this is the first I am buying since Eforms came into existance.

Does SS send my stuff through Eforms or do I have to do something with my separate account.

    TIA

They will do eforms. But you have to do a "certification" thing once they finish up the paperwork. Not too bad at all.

I may have all ready completed it as I did do an electronic signature. I was just confused as, on my dashboard, under Eforms, it shows "Queued" and I wasn't sure if I had to do something else.

Your ATF account will never show your SS e-form in the “e-form” queue, but it’ll come back just fine. I forgot how SS explained this to me (you can contact them and ask them to explain it), but it’s apparently fine, I never had a problem in 5 or 6 tries with them.

It's not certified until you've done the certification process with your dealer and you have entered your user name and pin from the eforms website.

"...electronic signature." was "DocuSign". Once it goes to DocuSign and you sign it, Silencer Shop will review it and either advise you that the tax stamp is required, or if pre-paid, the paperwork goes back to your dealer and you have to Certify, as said above.

You can Certify online while on the phone with your dealer, or you can visit him and do it in person.

As pointed out above, only after you have Certified and paid your "tax" does the ATF begin to process your Form 4 submission.

At that time, your finalized eForm4 is entered into the ATF eForm site. You will immediately receive an email from ATF telling you your "Permit/Control Number" and advise your status is "Submitted/In Process" and your actual wait begins.

Be advised that SilencerShop has a pretty big rush on right now and nothing with them happens quickly. IIRC, I had several days to a week between notifications, even though I responded immediately to all notices.

I had a Form 1 and Form 4 both approved a couple weeks ago. Does the ATF send out the actual tax stamp or is a photocopy all I get for $200?

Email, full color pdf picture. Print it in color and it’ll look like an actual stamped form. Totally electronic, hence “e-form”.

Yup. makes it easier to print copies. I do miss the real stamps though. But I have enough where I can go back and look at and feel the actual stamp.
