Does anyone know if the cx4 storm carbine will be on the banned list after Oct 1? I have the opportunity to buy one now but want to hold off if I can.

It will not be banned in SB281.
The law was changed (OAL lengthened) to accommodate the Storm. I bought one earlier in the year when it looked like it was going to be banned if the bill passed.
Its one of my favorite guns to shoot and the mags can be swapped with my M9.
Big Dog Outfitters sometimes has the 30 round mags for it.

Plan D? Not worth the hassle.
    I recommend against for now..

I just got one and the plastic guide rod has failed --- never shot.. it broke in dis assembly.
Butter fingers or no--- I am not the hulk snapping parts in a gun with bare hands ...

Sorry that's unacceptable -- looking to find a metal replacement part but if not I have a wall hanger ...

I recommend avoiding it for now...

BTW if anyone knows where to get the part please clue me in..

Sierra Papa is a small company that makes upgrade parts for the CX4. Their website is: http://sierrapapacx4.com/. I just checked the site and the pics aren't coming up for some reason.

Brownells shows a replacement guide rod assembly, but it's shown as "out of stock/discontinued".
