This will be used on law abiding gun owners defending themselves…another vague and ambiguous law to take down self defenders lumped in with criminals.

    Not sure how.

Litteraly all it does is add the word "intentionally"

    (2) A person may not INTENTIONALLY commit an assault with a firearm,

In theory, if applied properly, it would actually "go easier" on gun owners. Because then people who feel scared by a gun, couldn't have someone charged by simply having or holding a firearm.

"I felt scared for my life because I saw they had a gun".

I’m intentionally assaulting my attacker so am I a defender or assaulting?
