What if I happen to lose my 20rd mag while I'm on my buddy's property and he just happens to find it walking around the yard the next day? Is it illegal for him to transfer it back to me? Or is it illegal to pick it up to do so? Is it illegal for him to know it is there? Or is it illegal for me to lose it to begin with?

Only if you are stupid enough to post it on the internet.

Really?? Look you can ask a thousand questions or read the countless threads already out there and apply some common sense It's YOUR mag he's finding and giving back. He's not transferring possession of HIS mag to you! You worried about the MSP mag police seeing you? Illegal to lose a magazine? Sounds like you need to do some learnin' before owning a gun.
