Hey guys. I was shooting my NHM-91 (RPK look alike) and I was shooting and I did not notice but my flash Hidder went shooting off. The FSB has no pin to keep it on there. so what do I use? I don't want it coming off again. it messed up the first thread on the barrel. What do I do?

Should'nt affect function but if the threads are f'ed up youll need to get it to a smith. For a few dollars more they could pin it for you.. That could've ended much uglier too...

I'm not sure where you're located, Cardboard, but if you're nearby to the Odenton/Severn/Ft Meade area (an hour one way) I'd be happy to meet up with you and help you install the parts properly once you get them.

I would have figured it was fairly self-evident....you need to buy a pin and spring that go inside the front sight base, and the front retaining pin on the fsb needs to be removed to install them. i just figured i'd offer to help install, but if you'd rather i don't offer, no skin off my back.

    best of luck.

So any FSB can hold a retainer pin thing? But it needs to be taken off eh? hmm.... it would let me fix the canted FSB. but it is so well zero-ed in currently. what to do

So any FSB can hold a retainer pin thing?

As long as it has the hole in it. Look at the muzzle end (from the side or an angle is fine, we all know how dangerous and silly it is to point a gun at your face, since according to Col. Cooper all guns are always loaded) and verify there's a small hole in the front of the FSB. If there isn't, a simple FSB swap will fix that.

But it needs to be taken off eh?

Not if it has the hole for the detent and spring. All you have to do is remove the front retaining pin, insert the spring, insert the detent pin the correct way (instructions all over the net, google FTW) and reinstall the retaining pin. The FSB retaining pin also retains the muzzle brake detent.

If your FSB doesn't have the proper hole, it's as simple as removing one more retaining pin, pressing off the old FSB, pressing the new on, and reinstalling the retaining pins (performing the same steps to install detent/spring before installing the front retaining pin of course).

    Changed zip code
is it threaded? if so clean up the threads with brake cleaner or equivalent and put some locktight on it...let it dry 24hrs and then it wont go anywhere..
