I was given some old 7.62x51 M61 cartridges, I decided to pull down a few and reload them as 300 Blackout M61.

Are those 5.56 Lake City match cases cut down?

They are actually Lake City blanks cut down.
They work fine, I got 4000 for the price of scrap brass.

Ok, the reason I asked is that I've got some Lake City 308 match brass with the same "canalure" looking marks around the cases.
