No, the engraving looks great without any fill. Decided to leave it raw.

I got the QS version which is gray scale instead of green. It works great! I used it January on a hog hunt and it was great out to 100 yards with a moon or IR illumination. Only thing better would be FLIR. I watched the hogs around the feeder for 15 mins before I dropped one. They never knew I was there. Checkout WWW.tech eyes.com, and call them for a quote. They gave me an even better price then listed on the site for calling.

$50, did it while I waited. He has a really nice machine. If you use him, save yourself time and just bring the stripped lower as that is the only way it fits.
