An unnecessarily over-regulated, unrecognized militia, being unnecessary in this state of freedom, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, if good and substantial reasons warrant, shall be perpetually infringed at the sole discretion of the Supreme Communist.

That's my take on it. I like this thread already!

What's Your Version of MD's Second Amendment?

Great Idea from the Responders. I like your versions much better than mine.

I hope that others jump on board and submit their versions. There are many talented minds on this Forum that can compose creative responses to Maryland's Version of The Second Amendment.

A well enslaved and dumbed down society being necessary for the security of the new world order, subjects of the NWO district MD are here by prohibited the use of any type of weapon, including but not limited to free thought.

Or is this too much tin foil hat?

A well regulated, controlled people, being essential to the security of an overbearing, liberty-crushing state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall be systematically infringed and ultimately denied, until the people are completely subjugated by their betters.

Here is MD's version of 2A

"Art. 28. That a well regulated Militia is the proper and natural defence of a free Government."

    Here is Article 29:

"Art. 29. That Standing Armies are dangerous to liberty, and ought not to be raised, or kept up, without the consent of the Legislature."

Without a standing Army and NO right to keep and bear arms (to maintain a WELL regulated Militia), Maryland invites invasion.

This applies to more than just Maryland.

"A well regulated state organization of the National Guard, being necessary to the security of the State, the right of the people to keep and bear muskets, shall not be infringed so long as they join said organization of the National Guard."
