A buddy of mine owns a business and his brothers are all employees. He wrote the letter for them and they all got permits, including one non res permit because one brother lives in DE.

One brother just went for renewal and his new permit is still only good for two years and still has the old restrictions even though they specifically asked for the new ones.

I did a search and couldn't find anything differentiating between a business owner permit and an employee permit in regards to length of validity.

Anyone have any experience in this area?

I told him to call our friend in the LD tomorrow morning to find out what was going on but in the meantime thought I would put it out here.

My son in law just renewed such a permit. He works at a pharmacy. Old restrictions were something like " From home to xyz and when carrying narcotics." The new restrictions are in line with the new SOP " While conducting business as employee of xyz pharmacy". Good for three years.

Their personal protection and lives are apparently worthless, unless connected to taxes or drugs!

Sounds like the LD made a "mistake". As far as the restrictions, I would imagine the restrictions of an employee would differ from a business owner slightly. One should say "while conducting activities as owner of...." and the other should say "while conducting activities as employee of.....".

Does it state owner/employee? I thought it was just while conducting business for xxxxx

Mine says while conducting activities as a licensed real estate agent, so I would assume an employee permit would say "while conducting activities as an employee of..."
