Hello all. Hoping someone can help me out and save my wife some time.

My wife has an interview coming up at this school. After being offered a job in Prince Georges county and finding out how bad it is I really hate to waste time for her.

    Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

I am straight up. You don't have to pull punches. If all the kids are thugs whose parents are on the dole don't be shy about political correctness please.

What school in PG was the offer? The conditions vary drastically from school to school.

Kent's pay is going to be pretty woeful, especially if she has to commute.

Kent has its share of Section 8, but nothing compared to PG.

Like their high school, the one middle school serves the whole county

Farmers, factory workers, truck drivers, construction workers, watermen, college professors, college and gov't support

Kent County culture in general is supportive of people who put their noses to the grindstone and work, but there is nothing to say the schools won't be going into financial crisis with the retirement budgets divorced from the state and fully the responsibilities of the individual counties. All of the poor counties will be in crisis caused by this in less than 10 years.
