I have few Versapods with Raptor Feet on a couple of Colts and one Rock.. The kid and I like them because with the clawed feet you can pre-load the rifle when shooting and the feet dig in the soil or bench you are shooting off of.
Plus when mounting on a rail, Single lever on and off the firearm.
Look into the rules if its allowed and I know its more than you want to spend but if you can get a Giessel SSE on sale for 200 it is the sweetest trigger ive ever used. I run one in my noveskee ish spr. By far my favorite part of the weapon.
harris bipod with the swivel has been my go to and I dont have any complaints.
If you're just going to shoot from the bench, the 6-9" works for me. If you're gonna be outside and not always at the bench, the longer one would be my choice.
