I haven't been paying much attention to the gun laws these days, having been thoroughly disgusted with the direction this state has been heading in. It has been a couple years now, so I was wondering if there is any momentum in our favor for the state going shall issue, or for G&S changes in CCW permits. Anyone wanna bring me up to speed? Thanks!

Nothing substantial for the average joe but if you manage to get as far as a hearing for your appeal of denial then you'll be heard by a few new members of the HGPRB who may be favorable to CHL. The jury is still out on how effective that pathway is.

The Dems would likely need to be thrown out of power to get anything through the GA. If not any attempt to get a bill through will be desk drawer vetoed, even if the votes are actually there to pass it.

As long as Mike & Mike (aka, Mike^2) enjoy their exclusive control over their respective chambers, this will always be the case. Yes, for those that know how the MGA operates, I am aware of the fact that the R's have the numbers to petition a bill to the floor for a vote in the House of Delegates, but the D's are almost entirely complicit in toeing whatever line Mike^2 dictate, including just voting them into their roles with no challenges (which means, they have the votes to win any vote that Mike Busch wants to win, if he "whips").

This! We saw first hand how they operated a few years ago when we packed Annapolis. One poor rat schmuck voted the wrong way (for), on one of Mike's amendments & was immediately escorted into a back room. Upon return, they illegally revoted after the miscreant was whipped back into the party line.

you really need to make an effort to keep up with what is happening. Did you vote for MSI in the Lucky Gun Sweepstakes? It is open until tonight to vote for free money to help support second amendment rights in Maryland. See the thread about it in this section for details.

Seriously Rob, read the posts here in the Maryland 2A Forum. After that you'll be just as upset and frustrated as the rest of us.
