    Hello-

I was wondering what the steps are for transferring ownership of a firearm to another person? I posted a handgun of mine for sale and if/when I get a buyer I need to know the steps to legally transfer ownership so the gun is in their name.

I understand and FFL is needed for those. What kind of paperwork, cost and time am I looking at here?

If MSP fee, or FFL fee for a gun you deliver in person is generally the responsability of the buyer. If any shipping is involved it is subject to discussion/ negeoation between the parties.

PS - PM me if you're interested in buying. It's a Sig 1911-22.

Out of state you need to ship to an FFL, you may also need to ship from a local FFL (some FFL's won't receive a gun from an individual) In State you can meet at a State Police Barracks (the buyer will need an HQL) the transfer fee there is $10.00

You shouldn't advertise it for sale here.
There is a classified section that you can post it in after you have 50 posts.

Tyler Firearms is a veteran owned FFL just up the road in Halethorpe, and they can help you with the transfer...410-921-6393, and maybe with some other pieces or services that they offer.
