    OK,
I finally got this in today and I'm happy with what I see.
Excellent condition 1955 Ruger Single Six
    Date Chart:
    http://www.ruger.com/service/productHistory/RE-SSixSM.html

    $320 shipped.
It was a Ruger Single Six that was the first firearm I shot while I was in college. I had been looking for a nice C&R Single Six for a time and jumped on this one. Communicated with the seller to get more info about condition of the gun and to make sure He'd ship to C&R holder and MD resident. There are zero issues with that, just sometimes issues with people themselves.

If you have a Single Six C&R post it up!

Looks to be an excellent deal for the price. I only see trivial flaws here and there. Judging by the hairline cylinder ring, it's hardly been shot.

What is a hairline cylinder ring?

    Gunbroker.
I'm 2 for 2 finding nearly exactly what I wanted and being happy with it. The first was a 1920's Pre depression Police Positive that I had been hunting for.

Yes, seller said it was not shot much, He said he bought it but would not divulge how long ago. I think the guy picks and sells.
This was on gunbroker. Yes, I saw 2 sell this weekend but they had the 22 magnum cylinders with them for about $400. Neither I recall were C&R.

This one I wanted mid 50's Single action 22 not only because it was the first I shot but because of the old westerns of the 50's sparking the demand for such.

Had a chance to take it to the range.
It has a 1.5lb trigger pull.
I don't know if that is typical or the previous owner had a trigger job built shows.
Here was my best group at 25ft.
The bore is very crisp and clean.
The rear sight does not fit tight. Someone put some sort of goop unethical it to hold it but it did not hold well. I used blue loctite for now

That is the circumferential scratch around the cylinder, where the bolt(?) makes contact with the cylinder. It is inevitable, so a new gun won't have one, a slightly used one with have a hairline and and a well used gun will have a noticeable ring.
