I finally made contact with the child of Vilson Hysi, his name is Mendi Hysi and he still lives in Vlore Albania. He told me his father passed a few years ago. He was very excited to see his fathers gun. I was not able to get to much info from the son due to the language barrier besides that his father fought in the communist army in that time period.

The last picture is the father, Vilson Hysi with his daughter taken approx 2008.

If you want to converse with him, we use a language line at the hospital. I can get the contact info for you if interested. There is a charge, but you get person on the phone and real time translation. Or, my son is a military linguist in a "similar language". I can ask him if he is able, and you could arrange to meet with him at some point?

Awesome. I have ofter wondered about the folks that carried the M1's and some of the other Military firearms I have had over the years. To actually track dome a descendant is damn cool.

That's awesome Sled!!! I've never heard of anyone that's accomplished this before.

I wish I knew the history behind some of my old C&R's
