Chevellenut and I finally made it out to shoot our Kevlar ballistic panels :party29:

A big thanks to WhyTry who saw our last thread looking for a place to shoot. He hosted Sean and I on his farm for the afternoon so we could get this done

These ArmorCo ballistic panels are pretty damn impressive! Luckily I have a lot more left over for future "testing", plus I'm going to karma a few 12" x 12" plates off in the next week or so.

You guys need to find a bank that is being remodeled (or removed from a strip mall) and see if you can score the lexan panels to shoot at for affect.

maybe attach it to a big sack o potatoes next time.

    Good idea

Think a 5.7 would get through? Also, what's a "mini slug?" Never heard of them.

Edit: never mind. I see its a 12g "Kurz"

I guess we'll try the 5.7 next time. I'd be surprised if it goes through though. The one panel had about dozen rounds of 9x23 and 7.62x25 and nothing went through...

Damn, you know what. I had some years ago and gave it away. wish I would have kept it. That stuff was about 1 1/2" thick

I'll loan you guys the .50Beo, the Kevlar won't know what hit it.

Grab some Lucite panels, and then I'll bring out the 530gr steeltips for thumper. ;)
