Ah. Ok. I'm pretty sure Independence uses small.

CCI blazer brass cases, IIRC they used the normal large at one time and switched to small to save money on the line.

ok, I knew the blazer brass used small primers, wasn't sure what the independence brand used. im assuming CCi makes this ammo then ?

The Independence 5.56 is made in Israel. I imagine the same for the 45. I have used some Independence 45 ACP brass and it was large primer. It was from a few years ago so I can't attest to present production.

The few Independence range pickups I've had in 45ACP had large primers.

And their AR5.56 ammo uses LC brass.

Wondering if IMI uses LC brass too.

I remember buying independence a while back and they had all different kinds of brass. It was .223 and some was lake city, some was remington marked R*P and some was Hornady. I think they have a send in your brass discount thing

Independence is made using Federal components in Israel. Everything I've read about IMI suggests it is not made with Federal components, at least for their 5.56 NATO ammo.

Just went and looked at a box.

I stand corrected.

They're stamped FC.

Not LC.

May. IIRC, the cartridges I have and have shot were LC stamps. I wondered about the affiliation since the box says loaded for Federal in Israel or something to that effect.
