Finished one of my lowers today as I said I am a AK guy but wanted to add a 5.56 AR to the group.

I wonder what Mr Stoner would be thinking as to what or why anyone could improve/add/build to his design that could make it better?

Funny. You like samurai swords; I like baseball.

It's fun crossing over to the other side. I am starting to get into the combloc guns.

Nice AR build. The stainless barrel looks great through the hand guard.

Indeed I did. In fact if it was the last gun I bought before Oct 1st.

AK 74. Now I have a VZ. No more, safe is full.

Stoner had several designs that followed the Stoner 63 and the M16/AR-15 iterations that he felt were potential improvements on his own work, for example the AR-18. I'd posit that the original Leitner-Wise AR piston design was a valuable and important innovation.
