HQL Fingerprint Question

Several years ago, I had my prints taken by CJIS Fingerprinting on Reisterstown Rd for a corrections job (I didn't take the job) so my prints are already on file with Maryland CJIS.
Do I need to get fingerprinted again, or can I have them send the file to MSP?

Must have them taken again.

You have to remember that part of the purpose of the HQL is to deter people.
Cost and inconvenience does that.

You have to do livescan fingerprinting for the HQL, I was told. So you'll probably need to go again. Someone please correct me if that's wrong.

This was Livescan at the "original" Livescan location down the road from MSP HQ- performed by The State of Maryland

Must do Livescan. Prints then valid for 30 days as part of HQL application process.

I thought MSP said the prints were only good for 72 hours.

Technically, in regards to initially filing your application. I've not heard of it being enforced. The prints are good for 30 days as part of the HQL application process.

I too remember something about 72 hours. I think it was the application had to be submitted within 72 hours of the livescan prints being done. Not sure on that, just trying to remember what I read.

72 hours was the time limit MSP allowed for carry permit application prints. I don't think that applies for the HQL IIRC.

ok, then I'm wrong. my mistake. I know the instructions that were with the LTCH app said your app had to be mailed within 72 hours of having them done. So it applies to both then?

who knows, it could be certain fingerprinters giving inaccurate info, but I wasnt taking a chance.
