    Do you need an HQL for rifles, shotguns or AR-15 lowers?

    For those you just walk in pick one and do a instant background check and walk out. Only annoying part is the massive amounts of paperwork you have to do. The handgun paper with the HQL is even longer I think.

    Slight correction - you have to do the 77R and the seven day wait for AR lowers.

    77R for frame only generally. Nate will point out there is no justification for 77R's on frames, but that is current MSP practice.
