    The big difference is how much the interest in Mosins and esp. Finn Mosins has peaked over the years I've been collecting. Steve K. nailed it. I still remember seeing a PILE of M91-30s stacked on a NE Guns table at a local show in the early 90s. Sale price? $40 OTD. So for two twenties you could take home a piece of history. In that pile I found a VKT M39 that I still enjoy to this day. If you knew what to look for there were bargains all over the place. Bears Den had US built M91 (all Finns) for sale for $59.95. Got my first Remington M91 from them. All of this before I had my C&R. Just imagine what Steve K. had access to! The ultimate hand pick option! I'm scared to think what his Enfield collection looks like. Doubt my bank account could survive the hit.

    So ... the hammer price was $12,501.01.

    Maybe now people will understand why we are so very cautious not to encourage using Bubba-Fu on "just another Mosin". Norman Noob may not know what he got when grandpa died and left the old rifles in the closet to him.
